Lillian Gans

Lillian Gans was born January 19, 1911 to the late James and Carrie Clemons in Mt. Olivet, Kentucky. The family moved to the Milford area where she completed Milford Public School. Lillian Joined the Miami Baptist Church accepting Jesus as her savior at an early age.

Lillian was united in marriage to the late George Leslie Gans, departed July 31, 1986.

Lillian faithfully served Miami Baptist Church as Church Treasurer, Member of the Missionary Society, and Member of the Usher Board. Lillian was dedicated to the up-building of God’s Kingdom.

Lillian was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, as well as a great, great grandmother. She devoted her life to caring for others.

Lillian entered into rest July 10, 2011.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a son George Samuel Gans with wife Winnell, a daughter Lillian Pearl Dixie with husband Carlos, and stepdaughter Dorothy Evans along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Lillian was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters with four step children to include Helen Thomas, Ruth Cobb Washington, Julia Gaines and George D. Gans, Jr.

She lived her faith supporting the work of God’s Kingdom at her church and in her home. Lillian Gans served at the Miami Baptist Church under the pastorialship of Rev. Walter True, Rev B.D. Parrish, Rev. R. W. Waldrop, Rev. Printice Brown, Rev. Saul Prophet, Rev. Stephen Scott, and our present pastor Rev. Walter Buckner. She taught her children and family to love the Lord encouraging us to all live in a manner that pleases God.

Love of her family was unconditional.

We will miss her precious hugs and her warm and loving smile.

Visitation on Saturday, 7/16/2011, from 10 to 11am at Miami Baptist Church. Funeral Service on Saturday, 7/16/2011, at 11:00am, also at the church. Miami Baptist Church is located at 740 Elizabeth Street, Milford, OH 45150. Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery in Milford.
